A Perfect Day

November 2005
Yesterday was my perfect day. Quite by accident many of the things I love most serendipitously came together and worked their magic. A simple, sweet day that went a little like this….

I woke to the sound of wind and rain. I knew sunshine was just behind those clouds. This was going to be a great day. After a hot cup of coffee and the morning breakfast show, I started a pot of soup on the stove. The wind blew, the rain came down and the house smelled marvelous. Christmas music was playing, the boys were building together with LEGOS and the house felt peaceful.
A much deserved thank you and shout out to the girls that kept the blog happening while I was off sunning myself.

It’s weird how in some industries it’s so difficult for women to have a family. She’s always been very modern and career-oriented and she did not plan to have babies before she was 35 but now she told me she is starting to want a baby and has been kind of sad recently. I told her about us trying to get pregnant and she told me that one of her friends just started trying two months ago and is already prego. Damn it, seems like everyone else can get pregnant in a heartbeat.
Thank you ladies - you ROCK!!! If there is anything I can do for you in the future just ask!!!

Autumn Glow

Kroatia er et ganske lite land som grenser ned mot Adriaterhavet. Landet har de aller siste årene blitt et meget populært turistmål, hovedsakelig pga av billige forhold og en fantastisk fin kystlinje. Hit kommer man for å seile, surfe, kite og mye mye mer. Vannsport er kjempe-populært i dette landet pga av dens kystlinje. På nettstedet Alt-om-Kroatia.com er det en reiseguide til Kroatia, med masser av informasjon, blant annet hvordan du kan finne flybilletter til Kroatia og hotell i Kroatia.

På tross av den meget tragiske borgerkrigen i det tidligere Jugoslavia mot slutten av det 20. århundre, fremstår Kroatia i dag enda vakrere enn det gjorde for ti år siden. Strendene, fjellene og den øvrige naturen er akkurat like praktfull som alltid, men mange historiske byer og mange severdigheter har gjennomgått en omfattende gjennoppbygging og bra renovering. Dette har medført at opptil flere av disse fremstår flottere enn noensinne. Alt i alt blir den glade reisende møtt av et Kroatia i full blomstring og i sterk fremdrift.

En reise til Kroatia er en fin blanding av rekreasjon og kultur, nytelse og aktivitet.
