18 år gamle Sandra Lyng Haugen fra Mosjøen ble norgesberømt da hun dukket opp i TV2s Idol-konkurranse i 2004. Sandra Lyng Haugen her. Alle elsker søte Sandra Lyng Haugen (20), men slik har det ikke alltid vært. Som barn ble hun utsatt for nådeløs mobbing. Hun forteller om sine skrekk-opplevelser i kvinnebladet [mag]. I intervjuet forteller hun at det var en tøff overgang for en 16 år gammel jente å bli rikskjendis. Sandra Lyng Haugen er nå rikskjendis de luxe og soler seg i glansen. but I am certain as I am living that Big Oil has deals with car companies to hold back innovative technologies to increase the fuel mileage of cars and trucks without giving up much performance in sports cards, SUVs and heavy duty trucks. This would satisfy Americans who love the vehicles that have a large capacity to haul stuff and provide safety for their families. While hybrids is a step in the right direction, right now they only appeal to a certain segment of the population and most of this segment wouldn’t buy them anyway if it wasn’t for the tax credits that comes with the purchase. Don’t even get me started again about ethanol as a solution to this problem. We should be concentrating on improving hybrids, hydrogen and clean diesel fueled cars.

No More Wonder Woman for Whedon

Joss Whedon dropped out of the Wonder Woman movie today. Sounds like he got fed up with the “movie by committee” style that is so pervasive in Hollywood these days, accounting for more and more train wrecks showing up in our local theaters.
DC Youth Media is a space where youth involved in media can share skills and support with each other. Youth skilled in media will also train youth interested in media. DCYM builds bridges between organizations and individual mentors involved in media projects with young people. It brings organizations together to share resources, skills, experiences, contacts/connections with media outlets, and gain skills in being our own media to get our voices heard.

I just finished the final painting about an hour ago. And it wasn’t until then that I realized that I was very glad to finish this piece. Maybe it was a relief to finally finish something I’d started just before my father died. Or maybe I’m just glad to have completed something left unfinished for so long. Either way, it’s good to be done.

Lisa: more than meta isn’t that sort of a pseudoselfabsorption? cause it sounds to me like they’re just putting on a show of self improvement for the sake of outward appearances
Midgar310: well, there is a genuine desire for self improvement, but perhaps there is also a conflict between what the person desires to improve and what others suggest needs work
Lisa: /nodnod like “you should do this” but the person thinks it’s something else that they need to improve on?

Next on “Cheaters”
Have you ever seen that inane reality show “Cheaters?” Its soo bad, its good–they bust the person who is cheating in a realtionship and confront them, usualy its an illerate lesbian black couple or a some rednecks with no teeth..well, if there was one for food there would be me being hunted down for cheating on this fucking diet. sigh.

I WASN”T THAT BAD.

As predicted, I partied from the moment I put my ass in “Bob’s” car (his girfried was DD) and I guess not having any carbs all week made the beer do a double whammy on my ass, because I was trashed the moment my foot got out of the car in richmond. I had a wonderful time, and despite that I drank a shitload, I didn’t eat a whole hell of a lot–though on Friday am, I woke up to everyone muching on Doritos and popcorn, but we went out for lunch and I had a greek salad, a grilled cheese (bad! but when you’re hungove ryou have to have grease), and two bloody marys. We walked around all day, so I really wasn’t too concerned, and I didn’t eat the fries that came with the sandwhich, ok one or two..that night we ate out again, and I got a hamburger, but I didn’t eat the bun and yes, I ate a couple of fries, but we also had some nachos..and Beer..
